Q1: Why don't you have my part in stock?
A1: The short answer: space and usage. Last year Carlsen performed 22,411 services, repairs and recalls on Audi product. Based on that service history, we stock a part if we customers needed it three times in the last year. We do not have the space to store parts that we only use once or twice a year.

Q2: Why don't you have my brand, size, speed rating tire in stock?
A2: The Fire Marshal of Palo Alto only lets Carlsen have so many pounds of hazardous materials at any time. Tires are considered both a hazardous material and a flammable material. Once all the oil, transmission fluid, and other chemicals are counted, I only have an allowance for 25 tires.

Q3: Why isn't parts open on Saturday?
A3: Customers no longer work on their own cars. This means that the number of customer's that are looking for parts on Saturday are few and far between. You can always arrange for after hour parts pick up.
